Punzel: Chapter I - Toujours la Meme Histoire

“Punzel: Chapter 1 – Toujours la Meme Histoire” is the pilot of a game series telling the story of Punzel, a captive princess that has had enough of sitting around in boredom every day. She decides to take her fate into her own hands and try to find a way out of her prison tower. Due to an inconvenient lack of tools or weapons at her disposal, she instead opts for the power of friend making to gain some wiggleroom in her imprisonment. The game combines elements of Point & Click, room exploration, and a friendship/social interaction puzzle mechanic. Based on its origin as a webtoon, it presents its story via a minimalistic, low-color 2D manga/newspaper clip cartoon art style and builds depth through its lovingly crafted sound effects and compositions.
