Enigma Equation is an independent game studio based in Malaysia, founded by developer Giap. Its debut title, OPERATIVES: Revolve, is a first-person roguelike deckbuilder set in a brutalist, dystopian world, where cards are physical machines: they block damage, take damage, and chain into cascading combos.
Before Enigma Equation, Giap founded a 3D services studio and worked as a technical artist across the animation and games industries. He went full-time on OPERATIVES: Revolve in 2023, handling the full production, such as concept, 3D art, animation, game design and programming himself. In 2025, an MDEC development grant let him build and lead a team for nine months, significantly expanding the game's content. The studio has since returned to a lean setup and is self-publishing, handling marketing and localization in-house.
