At many game studios, the designer creates the UI, and the effort of building something functional is handed off to developers. That handoff is messy, time-consuming, and often results in redundant work. What the designer/animator envisions, depending on the language or tools used, could be extremely complicated, or even impossible, for developers to execute. Or the developer builds a functional UI with HTML or XAML that can ship, using developer tools not design tools. There is a new, better way to build game UI. With Rive, you design and animate game UI in the Rive Editor, export it to the Rive format, and run your files with the Rive Runtimes in Unity, Unreal, Defold, or your custom game engine.
